Our staff consists of certified surf instructors, experienced outdoor educators, and creative mentors who are all trained in first aid and child safety protocols ⛑️. We don’t just watch from the sidelines; we are in the water and on the trails with them, ensuring every activity is as secure as it is exciting. 🌊

My history
I grew up in a small village next to a small city in Germany. I did what my parents wanted me to do up to my teenage years. In early adulthood I discovered that I’m my own personality and that I can change the world. So I did, moved abroad to the US, Iceland and Austria, founded companies and eventually found the love of my life and we have a beautiful family togehter. My history tells me that I’m not responsible for the way the world is – but I am responsible if it just stays the same. So let’s change it togehter.
My present
I’m a middle aged man from Germany and I see myself as a citizen and a servant to the world. The wellbeing of my family and the ones around me is central to my actions and that’s why I’m engaged in the summer camp. My kids participate here as well and it is my pleasure to take the kids into the Wilderness of Algarve to learn about this place and themselves.
Why I’m a Mentor at Algarve Summer Camp
Because I believe that every moment is precious. And I want to make every moment precious for my kids and the ones I’m mentoring. And when I’m out and about, when I’m wood-carving, bow-shooting or just breathing underneath an old oak tree that’s when I’m feeling totally alive. And that’s what I want to transport to the kids. Let’s experience ourselves, when we experience nature. That’s why I’m on this beautiful earth.

Wer auf der Suche nach kuriosen Schätzen, Vintage-Funden oder dem perfekten Schnäppchen ist, kommt am Flohmarkt in Lagos nicht vorbei! 🏺 ✨ Der „Feira de Velharias“ ist ein echtes Highlight für alle, die das Stöbern in entspannter Atmosphäre lieben. Hier findest du alles von antiken portugiesischen Keramiken und handgefertigtem Schmuck bis hin zu Second-Hand-Kleidung, alten Büchern und skurrilen Sammlerstücken. 🧺 📜
Wann und wo findet der Flohmarkt statt? 📅
Der Flohmarkt in Lagos findet traditionell am vierten Sonntag des Monats statt. 🗓️ Markiere dir diesen Termin rot im Kalender! Los geht es meist schon in den frühen Morgenstunden gegen 08:00 Uhr, und das bunte Treiben endet meist gegen 13:00 oder 14:00 Uhr. 🕒 Der Ort des Geschehens ist in der Regel das Gelände beim städtischen Stadion (nahe dem Busbahnhof und dem Mercado do Levante), wo genügend Platz für die zahlreichen privaten und gewerblichen Aussteller ist. 📍

Früh da sein: Die besten Stücke, wie seltene Azulejos oder Vintage-Möbel, sind oft schon vor 10:00 Uhr vergriffen. 🌅

Handeln gehört dazu: Ein freundliches Lächeln und ein bisschen Feilschen sind auf dem Flohmarkt absolut erwünscht. Mit ein paar Brocken Portugiesisch öffnet sich so manche Tür zu einem besseren Preis! 🗣️ 💶

Sonnenschutz nicht vergessen: Das Gelände bietet wenig Schatten. Hut, Sonnencreme und eine Flasche Wasser sind im Sommer Pflicht, während du von Stand zu Stand ziehst. ☀️ 🧢

Kleingeld einstecken: Wie auf den anderen Märkten gilt auch hier: Bargeld ist Trumpf! Viele private Verkäufer können nicht wechseln oder Kartenzahlung annehmen. 🪙
Parken am Flohmarkt 🚗
Da der Flohmarkt am Sonntag stattfindet, ist die Parkplatzsuche etwas entspannter als unter der Woche. Nutze die großen Freiflächen direkt am Stadion oder rund um den Busbahnhof. 🅿️ Wer etwas später kommt, findet meist noch einen Platz in den Seitenstraßen oder nutzt das Parkhaus an der Marina und verbindet den Ausflug mit einem Spaziergang am Hafen. 🌊
Der Flohmarkt ist der perfekte Ort, um ein Stück authentisches Portugal mit nach Hause zu nehmen und gleichzeitig nachhaltig zu shoppen. 🌿
